Get social - Share about your participation on your Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok!
Create a FB Fundraiser through your walk account (must connect it through account to show up on your fundraising page) and connect the fundraiser when you go Live on FB while doing your activities and/or the day of the walk!
Share socials in IG posts and stories, go live, create reels, and be sure to add your fundraising page link in your bio! Always say "link in bio" whenever you post!
*please note that Instagram fundraisers will not sync with your Walk fundraising. Instagrma fundraisers are only for general AFSP donations. Please reach out to walks@afsp.org if you have questions regarding this*
Create videos on TikTok to share why you walk, ask for support, and ask others to join you. Participate in trends, video challenges, viral dances, etc. to get views on your video! Add your fundraising page link to your bio and always mention it in your videos/captions to encourage potential donors!
Log activities to help reach your personal, team, and event activity goals! This is a great way to share, ask for pledges, and to be active before and during the event.
Tell your family and friends that they can also pledge a donation amount based on how many minutes you have completed! They just need to click "Pledge" at the beginning of the donation process.
Just log into your account and click Activity Tracking to begin!
This is a super fun way to get your donors engaged and involved in your fundraising journey!
Add a milestone moment, such as:
$50: Watch me eat a jar of pickles on IG Live
$150: I will lip sync to a song on TikTok
$200: I will do 10 cartwheels!
You can edit and/or add milestones at any time.
Just go into "Your Page" and click "Add a Milestone" after logging into your walk account.
Let your donors also be the prize winners!
Send your donors an incentive when they donate a certain amount to you. This does not have to be something you buy for them (although it can be!).
Some ideas:
$10 donation = one of my drawings
$25 donation = a special sticker
$50 donation = a recording of a song I wrote
$100 donation = a scarf knit by yours truly!
Get creative and make it fun! What are your unique capabilities and talents, and how can you turn that into a very special thank you for your donors?

T-Shirt Badge: Earned an Out of the Darkness Walk t-shirt by raising $100 or more

Fundraiser Badge: Received first donation
Heart of the Community Badge: Registered for same walk for two consecutive years and/or registered others
Team Captain Badge: Started a team
Goal Badge: Reached fundraising goal
Perfect 10 Badge: Team of 10 or more (appears on team page only)
High 5 Badge: Team of 5 or more (appears on team page only)
Pure Gold Badge: Team of 20 ore more (appears on team page only)
Recruitment Badge: Recruited someone else to walk and/or registered someone else for a walk
Century Badge: Personally raised $100 or more
North Star Team: Team raised $10k or more (appears on team page only)
Overachiever Badge: Raised $1,000 or more; Team raises $1,000 or more
$250 Badge: Personally raised $250 or more
Five Hundy Badge: Personally raised $500 or more
Gimme 5 Badge: Team raised $5k or more (appears on team page only)
North Star Badge: Personally raised $10k or more
Shining Star Badge: Personally raised $2500 or more
Super Star Badge: Personally raised $5k or more
